What do you wish to share?

The very first thoughts which came to mind when I read today's wish prompt was ~ food. And last evening before turning out the light I was thinking about a previous wish I had made ~ reaching out to my neighbors, and how with the cooler weather it will be more difficult to have a gathering because my house is small. So... I have discovered that there is another way. An even better way. I wish to prepare something delicious for each of my lovely neighbors and share it with them. I will knock on their door, introduce myself, and present my gift to them and their families. That is the way my wish will come true.

ReplyDeleteI love this wish. What a neighborhood that would be if we all shared food with each other. So many nights I'm not into cooking. I would relish a knock on the door with you arriving with something tasty to eat! This could become a country-wide phenomenon. Thx. Giulietta

ReplyDeleteHow wonderous.. One autumn while I was teaching from my home studio, a dear friend knocked on my door, and handed me a large pie, yes! It was filled with Potpie makings! HOMEMADE.. see she was my student and loved my husband and I. It was so special.. it was a sunny fall day, knock knock, on our home in the woods of 4 acres.. the turkeys came running up as the norm for the area, tried to get the pie from her.
This is something my mind will never forget as it is just like reading Susan Branch's books or looking at a Norman Rockwell picture. Wishes really do happen!
